PART 2

JUST CRUISIN’ ALONG...

Ok, so you’ve decided to do The Big Trip, you’re all packed up and you’re on the road. You mapped out your route and worked out how many kays-per-day you will do, with rest stops marked along the way, it’s all about planning.
So, why on earth are you so tired at the end of each days driving?
You forgot one of the best long distance travel aids on the market today... a Cruise Control.

On top of reducing driver fatigue by allowing the driver some leg movement whilst on the road, they reduce eye fatigue as you are not constantly flicking your eyes back and forth between the road and the speedo. Your eyes aren’t constantly adjusting from light to dark.

There’s also the “Blue Light” factor – if your cruise control is set to the speed limit, there’s no chance of not noticing you are over the limit, right at that very moment you pass a speed camera and end up funding the next Policeman’s Ball. I’ve heard that for every 10,000km of travel, your Cruise Control can pay for itself in avoided fines. Good odds!

Cruise Control Specialists installed the AP 500 from Command Auto Group into our project vehicle. With a 1.6L in such a small lightweight vehicle, it’s not hard to accidentally overdo it... I have a gold licence and I’d like to keep it that way. The X-90 will do a good deal of travelling over the next few months (Cliffhanger 2007... yay!) so being able to get where we are going still nice and fresh will be a blessing... and no speeding tickets!
One of Nigel’s customers once commented that Cruise Controls are like “Being a passenger, but steering”... sounds good to me!

Cruise Control installation is not something you want done by an amateur. Your life depends on not only a quality product being used, but also the experience and care of your installer. Absolute trust on both accounts is vital.
Nigel from Cruise Control Specialists both uses and recommends quality products from the Command Auto Group’s range. His many years of experience ensure that your Cruise Control will give years of safe and trouble-free use...

... and they work great too! I tested Oscar’s on a quick spin up the freeway, and whilst never owning a vehicle fitted with Cruise Control before... I was mighty impressed and am now a convert to them
