14 Jan 2011 Stony Creek / Bellthorpe State Forrest

A short but well worth it trip we did as a family.

Headed out to Stony Creek, just past Woodford. There's a great day use area there with a swimming hole, where we spent a couple of hours. Our kids loved it. This is a great place to kick back, relax and create some family memories.

As we headed out of the day use area, we turned left, and followed the track (unsure of its name). We weren't exactly sure where it would end up, but thought it would be a bit of a circuit. We had to tell the kids we weren't lost, we just didn't know exactly where we were!

This was about a 1 1/4 hour trip, taking it slow and enjoying the scenery. The track winds up and down hill and is relatively rocky. We exited just a couple of km from the day use area, basically completing a circuit.

Left home just before lunch, and were home in time for dinner, with a happy family in tow... agreat little spot for a morning, afternoon or day of family fun.

It was also the first bit of offroading on our new D694's and so far we're very impressed.
