This week we introduce you to 'CRUSHER' from the 4WD Action forum, he has a GQ that spends more time in the air than on the ground!

TALKIN' DIRTY WITH…CRUSHER

Name: Mick Irvine

Location (town and state):Budgewoi NSW

What do you do for a crust? Property Consultant

When did you join the A4WDM forums and why? I joined the forum in July 2004 after subscribing to the magazine. There was a couple of reasons for joining the forum; one being the fellowship, as I have made a lot of good mates and two the information you learn to improve your driving and knowledge of your fourby

What do you drive and how long have you owned it: I have two fourby's a 2003 GU Patrol 3.0 litre Turbo Diesel which I have owned since new. It is now mainly used for touring.I also have a 1989 GQ Patrol 4.2 litre petrol which is my bush weapon.I bought it stock in 2005 and have progressively modded it.

What modifications have you done to it in that time: The GU has 2 inch lift only and 33" Goodyear MTR's. The GQ has had the most mods todate: Two inch spring lift, two inch body lift, 35 inch Goodyear MTR's, Quarter Panel Chop, Rock Sliders, Custom front and rear bars, rear drawers, roof console, roof rack and UHF & AN CB's

Where do you like going bush: Anywhere there is good tracks but my favorite would have to be the Watagans as it is close to home and has lots of challenging tracks

Any members off this forum you usually go wheeling with? Quite a few from time to time on forum trips but regularly drive with Greenbeast, Mick, Humpy, FordMav, Bowie & Hophoar

Who is your dream navvy and why? Steve Waugh. I have admired his exploits on and off the cricket field for a long time and he would have some great stories to tell back at camp

Beer, bourbon, wine, whisky or soft-drink, what's your poison (type and brand)? Usually start off on the beer currently XXXX Gold and then move on to the Jim Beam

Who'd win in a boxing match between Harold from Neighbours and Alf from Home and Away, and why:Alf would win easily too big too strong
