Talking Dirty with CELTLUX...
Name: Matt
Location: Brisbane, QLD
What do you do for a crust? Machine Operator. Producing Bricks, Pavers & blocks for residential use.
When did you join the A4WDM forums and why? Joined in Feb 06, & just to get info on my rig, & to become more involved in the whole 4Bing way.
What do you drive and how long have you owned it:
My pride & joy is a 99SR5 Dual Cab TOYOTA Hilux, & have her for around 4 yrs.
What modifications have you done to it in that time:
Full OME suspension pack, 31" BFG Muds, TX4400 UHF/Aerial, Boofs Toyota sportbar with 4x 50w spots, & 2x100w Narvas up front, Kustom Komited Chequerplate bashplate, window tint, Safari snorkel and a Sony Xplod stereo.
Where do you like going bush:
Mt. Mee, Kenilworth, Double Island, Glasshouse Mtns.
Any members off this forum you usually go wheeling with? Have been up the Glasshouse with Twisty/Bundy & a few others, Heading to BOTS with Synergy, & when Boof gets his back on track, we have made plans to go for a wheel. Also outalux/courts insession up Mt Mee.
Lockers, lift, rubber or barwork -- what's the first thing you should put on a stocker, and why?
Rubber depending on size with a locker, can give great gains, being tall is great but having grip is better.
Tell us about that first 'ooops' moment you had offroad:
Well i did the right thing & slowly dropped my nose into the mud up at Glasshouse till i decided to show off & took off, dumping my backside onto the ledge sending my rear bar up into the bodywork.
What's next on the list for your truck?
Definately a auto lokka up front, then exhaust/extractors/supercharger, followed by 2"bodylift & Bigger rubber, probably MTZ's.
Any modifications you've made and since regretted, and why? None so far i think she looks & goes the SHIZZ!
What's the best single piece of advice you could give anyone new to 4WDing reading this?
Never be embarrassed to ask questions. Wave to passers by, you never know when you'll need a hand.
Any other hobbies that your involved in?
Babymaking, renovating, sport, live music.
