Booger
Description
This is my 1997 Series 1 that i bought about three years it was a Toorak tractor with 116000Klm and full stamped log books.
Even though it was great stock when i joined a local 4WD club and did a 4WDriving course i found the vehicle lacked and so did I. So the long and expensive process of change began. LPG, twin tanks under the landy and one behind back seat giving me 166ltr + a 45ltr petrol tank in the quarter panel and an extra 60ltr tank that bolts to the roof. A new 4.6ltr crate engine was purchased and built to my specs match ported heads. At first a 3" exhaust was fitted but kept blowing mufflers so its now got extractors & twin 2.25" Red Back System sounds great. A Snorkle was fitted and then A Wolf ECU was also fitted with a dyno being done, then the obvious, 2" Old Man Emu Suspension lift all round, Air bags fitted in the rear coils, TJM bull bar, ARB brush rails & side protection steps, 9500lbs winch with dynamica rope, Rear S & J Powerhouse Twin carrier Bar, IPF spot lights & a few ariels mounted, A dual battery & isolator switch plus Pirahna management system, Clarion stereo, GME uhf & hands free kit, Hayman reece tow bar & brake controler, Cooper STT tyres on standard alloys, ARB front & rear diff lockers with ARB compresor fitted under bonnet , A custom made draw system built to fit around the lpg tank, Tinted Windows with the third row windows removed and custom alloy gas strut doors made for easy access into the back & a drop table on inside rear door, Custom roof rack that holds both the roof top tent and additional 60ltr petrol tank for those long trips, Custom built cargo barrier & ARB 47ltr fridge mounted where the rear passenger seat was,A VMS touring 500 GPS with reverse camera fitted, And a custom Alloy water tank made to fit where one of the third row seats used to be. I have learnt a lot after a few trips under my belt now and love the 4WD and where it takes my family and I, the people you meet out in the bush makes everything worth it though the bug has truly bitten and there is so much more i want to do to my Landy, perhaps when i get some more funds, till then Cheers Mike!
