RE Key alarm: I already knew that one, but it doesn't bother me that much to warrant taking the steering column off to unplug things under warranty, besides, closing the circuit on the seat switch would be easier for anyone to do and just as easy to put back the way it was if it were done that way, but thanks. I think I'd rather make it quieter than disconnect it entirely anyway.
Seat belt alarms can usually be turned on/off.

You could put the seatbelt around the rear of the front seat and clip it in, then just unclip when you need to..

You can actually unplug the beeper itself which disables it for key etc aswell.... We always done it to Cars while working in them while having keys in ignition in our shop... There is a separate plug kn the ignition under the shroud you can pull
