I just picked up a D40, ST Dual Cab 4x4 (spanish) with the 2.5L TD engine. It's only got 36k on the clock so all in all quite good condition. It's my first Nissan and my first ute but I've been contemplating a ute for quite some time.

It will be mainly a camping and touring (when not being used to get me to work) vehicle so I will outfit it with a second battery to run the fridge, probably go with a bull bar to provide some added safety when travelling those rural roads at night and some decent driving lights so I can see on those said roads.

I would like to do a 2" lift, mainly for looks more than anything else, I think it's high enough for my type of use. But I can see a 2" lift and a larger rugged looking A/T making a real difference and making some hilux drivers envious.

In any case, looking forward to modding it, so far it's been an excellent ride and very glad I got it!

Hi Nav Champs,

I'm new to the forum and have
enjoyed the photo's and knowledge shared.

Thought I'd throw up a few pics of my 2014 STR. I've had Rodeo's in the past but I enjoy the D22 far better.

I've de-badged my STR as there are a thousand other D22's around where I live. A bit of a originality never goes astray.
Other cosmetics have been,

Rear sports bar painted black.
Rear bar removed and replaced with ARB Beaver Panel.
Remove side steps.
Front grill blacked out.
New 17" Steelies wrapped in 275/65 Maxxis Rubber.
Tub Speed liner goes in this week.

Future plans are:
2" Body Lift.
2" Suspension lift and upgrade
LED Bar and Spots.
Diff locker.
Roof Rack.
Side awning.
Rear Door speakers, New Front Speakers.
AMP and slim line SUB

Getting to know the place

Just bought this for the family. Completely stock at the moment but will be modded to be a family tourer/holiday machine.
