Looking for a club with a younger demographic?

Unread post by LittleGem » February 9th, 2014, 8:04 pm

Hey guys as the title suggest I'm looking for a club in nsw that accepts the younger demographic as valid 4wders.
I have spoken to a few clubs and even attended a few day trips and I'll be honest I felt like I was being scrutinised as a green p-plater.
So the question is do you have any recommendations for a younger 4wder to be part of an awesome club I'd love to hear about?
Thanks guys.

Where in NSW are you? It is a pretty large place, narrowing it down to a region or the nearest major town might make it a little easier! ;)
An Ex-Service person is someone who thought enough about their country & how great it is, how lucky we are to live here, to write a blank cheque made out to 'The People and Commonwealth of Australia' for the value of 'Up to & including my Life!'

Did you end up finding anywhere?

I am keen to join a club but would be more interested in joining a club with younger members or people in their early 30s. Just so I'm around the same age.

No, sorry mate; they're all basically the same. It's not an easy choice.

Ya not callin' us all old farts are Ya . . . .!

Seriously, You will get criticism because you are younger or inexperienced in all kinds of activities. Don't take it to heart, we're not all know-it-all old fogies, But I can understand you want to be with people who have similar interests and viewpoints outside of 4WDing while you are 4WDing, so good luck. Starting your own club as suggested is a way to start. all you need is one other friend and it will grow from there. Go for it!!

Hey mate,

Sorry to bring up an old thread but did you have any luck with this? I’ve hit the same problem now.

Not really interested in going away with people and their kids etc on family trips. No offence to them I’m just a 20yo bloke that wants to head out for a weekend with similar people.

Hard to find groups in/around Sydney our age that are into actually driving and camping compared to just tearing a place up.

Thanks.

Have you looked into rovers, lots of camping, most are into 4wding. And they kick you out once you get “old” and turn 27. Worth a look
