About 1 year ago I was driving home on a hot day and traction control and esp service light came on. I was only 2k from home and everything seemed ok so I drove home. Got home and vehicle would not start so I unpacked and thought I will have a look a bit later on. Went to car and it was fine, no problem. This was out of warranty but only around 16000k. This went on for a bit so I bought a scanner and no codes were stored. I read the commodore posts on a similar problem and they were having ABS wheel sensor problems. I did an Ohm test on the sensors and found one different to the others on the front. I rang the Holden dealer and as the sensors were $75 each I bought the 2 front ones and fitted them and the problem was gone, until now. I can get to work and go to town etc but the last two days of an afternoon when the heat gets on it I can not start it and the ESP Service light comes on. I updated my scanner but no codes. I come in the next morning and everything is fine until 4.30pm and it wont start and ESP Service light is on again. I had started it 5 times throughout the day with no problems. It has been left there again this arvo as it wont start. I ohms tested the afront ABS sensors and they are 16.17Milli ohms if I am reading the pissy little meter right on the right and 16.99 on the left. I will go in tomorrow and it will start no problems and show no codes. It was bought in May 2013 but still only has 22, 000k as yet but it is starting to give me the *****.
Any clues to the problem? It only does it on the really hot days it seems.
I will test the sensors when cold tomorrow and look for a change. I thought I fixed it last time by replacing both sensors.
Any one else have similar problems?
