Re: Recommend a Good mechanic in the Sydney Metro area?

Unread post by Tornado_ALIVE » December 8th, 2013, 8:39 pm

When I lived in Sydney I use to take my Jeep to Albion Automotive in Annandale. Old school mechanic that can actually repair and rebuild things. He was priced well and gave good honest service. A good mechanic is hard to find and I was very happy with him. Shame I moved to Melbourne as I am yet to find likewise down here.

4wd diesel mechanic in Yeppoon, QLD to NSW unreg veh

Unread post by Strick » January 5th, 2014, 3:18 pm

Gday guys,

I need to get a 60 series, 12 HT, checked out in Yeppoon. Anyone know a decent workshop in the area?

Also has anyone driven an unregistered vehicle from QLD to NSW? Seems i need to get a permit from QLD only to drive it home. However i have a NSW licence and address, anyone have any experience with this?

Cheers in advance

On the second point, I did a one way from NSW for the ACT some years ago (as an ACT resident) and only needed a permit from the starting point in NSW. All the various RTAs were very helpful with advice.

Looking for a workshop in or around Castle Hill NSW

Unread post by stirlsilver » March 6th, 2014, 11:02 pm

Hello everyone, it has been a long time since I posted anything over here on 4WD Action. It's mainly because I have been busy working my way through my 4WD build and as a result until it is finished I can't do much else!

Anyway, I have taken up a new job in Castle Hill and will need to progressively move all my belongings there over the next 2 months from Melbourne. That means I need to move the car and all the parts & tools up as well. For this I need a workshop to store everything in and to allow me to keep working on the build.

Is anyone able to help me out?? Or know someone that might?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

This is the build thread:

Thanks for the recommendation. Though I am a little confused, are you suggesting 4wd1 as a place I could use to store my car & work on it or as a company I could use for the build??

I'm looking for a place which I could rent at this stage with power and water.

Thanks!
Stirling

maybe try storage lots, sometimes there is some space at the rear of the complex that they may let you work in but dont expect it to be cheap.

Looking for 4wd mechanic Melbourne / recommendations

Unread post by PGU » March 13th, 2014, 10:33 pm

Hi guys,

I urgently need a 4wd mechanic in Melbourne for a pre-purchase inspection (Toyota Hilux - but if I won't buy that one it could be a different car soon). Preferably around the northern parts, but I would take any mechanic that come with a recommendation, as I am looking at a nice car to buy, but I don't feel quite comfortable with the seller and want to make sure the car is in perfect condition.

Cheers

Philipp
