fuel filter - where is it on 2001 PA Challenger?

Hi all,

Done a search but couldn't find any result so;

can anyone tell me where the fuel filter is located on the 2001 PA challenger.

For those interested, it is located in the tank.

Quoted $160 to replace inc filter.

Seems to be an increasingly popular place for them!! :eek:

Call me 'old fashioned' if you want, I still prefer to see the fuel filter out somewhere I can get at it readily, & maybe even change it at the first sign of a problem just cos I can!! ;)

That's interesting, I have an 05 model and the filter is mounted on top of the LHS chassis rail about half way along the back passenger door. Reasonable straight forward to get to and replace. Just need to remember to reduce the fuel pressure before undoing the connections.

That's where I was hoping it was with mine but alas it was not to be, the mechanic even put it up on the hoist expecting it to be there but when he said it must be in the tank, I cancelled the job.
