Where does PA Challenger Bullbar bolt to the chassis?

Unread post by kayarubin » July 20th, 2015, 12:45 pm

Hey guys, I've got a question about where exactly the bull bar gets mounted on the chassis rails on the challenger? I've had an MK triton steel bar fitted for a while now, bolted to the standard bumper support location only. It is solid and doesn't bounce around, but with only 4 bolts holding onto it I feel like i need a bit more strength behind it if I ever need to do a recovery using the eyelets on the bar or if I manage to bump something hard.

Any advice would be good!

Kaya.

just my first thoughts,

1. get proper recovery points that mount independently to the chassis.

2. reinforce the bar mounting with some cross bracing (now I have written this it would be a giant pain in the ass)

3. Drill extra holes through bar (hopefully lining up with chassis holes, and then add M12 HT bolts. (could also change old bolts to M12's if your worried.
