DC - that is a cracker of a Pajero! What wheels and tyres are you running there? I have had all sorts of dramas getting aftermarket wheels in 17" to fit my NT!

How do the BFG's go for you?

Wheels for Paj

Unread post by d_c_prescott » August 4th, 2010, 8:13 pm

Hi scottymac The wheels I have bought for a second set are Seedy Baja 17x8.5. They fit over the discs well and no problem at all. I have fitted BFG A/T 265.70.17. For the off road touring that I do I find these good. I have tried so many different tyres over the years but the BFG's are a good all round tyre with reasonable wear. Around 80,000 is about average life. I hope this helps you.

Hi guys, haven't been back for a while. The Darling River trip was good, camping on the banks of the Darling at Trilby was awesome. The rains meant we couldn't get to Menindee Lakes or Mungo however, so we headed for Kanangra Boyd which was good.

Here's some shots of us playing at the Springs this weekend:

It was a fantastic weekend. Loads of fun had by all. Minor damage reports: one bullbar, one indicator, one tyre and one sidestep - luckily none on my car on this occasion.

Cheers,

Charlie

:o Here we go again. I think Gus replied if to my first post, Fantastic!!!!! I have enjoyed reading the posted stories, particularly as they are full of experiences from other Paj owners.
I am somewhat of an old fart, just turned 60, and looking forward to putting my truck to good use to see a lot more of Australia before I reach the pearly gates.

:truck: My truck is a Pajero RX, 2010, 3.2 DiD, auto, Mit tow bar and alloy bull bar, Duel batteries (red arc), ERPS rust prevention, Nesa reversing camera, Narva 175 spoties, Uniden radio, Rhino Bars and Fox Wing awning, Engel fridge.

Wish List: Coopers or other L/T tyres, 50mm lift kit, Heavier Springs and maybe EMU nitro shocks, roof top basket or box of some kind, Draws for rear storage. :drink: now I need a drink.

Have just ordered a 2009 NT VRX 3.2lt T/D with 48kms in Silver. Anything I shoud be aware of at all guys? The warranty goes till 2014 so all should be good.
1 question: can you get off road tyres in an 18", or is it best to swap down to a 17?
Cant' wait. Will be a big change from the D22 (which I'm sad to see go).
Also, what is it with tow bars? Nearly every Paj GLS and up we have looked at didn't have one, so we had to put one on the one we bought. Don't "Soccer Mum's" tow anything?
