Hey guys i was just thinking of what people think of the mods i have done and am doing on my gen 1 pajero:
- Upgraded exhaust to 2.5 inche (Done)
- Changed from petrol to a 4m40 turbo diesel (waiting for my mechanic to find the right engine)
- 2 inche body lift (On order)
- 2 inche suspension lift using custom made extended torsion bars (Rear end ready to go in waiting for new torsion bars in front)
- 31 inche muddy's on sunraisers (still to be done)
- Rear locker (still to be done)
- Snorkel (getting done)
- Interior roll cage (findin someone to custom make it)
- Rock sliders (finding someone to custom make them)
Also does anyone have any other suggestions
Cheers look forward to hearing your input

why 4 inches of lift (which is illegal btw) and then only 31's?

why the internal roll cage? unless your planning on doing some hardcore wheeling (which a pajero isnt built for) then you have little chance of a major roll over..

you shouldnt need longer torsion bars for a lift (unless im missing something)

better off with a locker in the front with IFS.. with the V6 you should have an LSD in the rear already..

the other things in the list sound like a good idea though...

Hey guys just wana introduce myself.
Have had my paj for over a year now after getting it off my mum :o
It was 22 years old with 80,000k's and had never seen even a grass patch.
Now she has a 2" suspension lift, 31" tyres, snorkal, spotties roofracks, later model bull bar, and diy drawer and shelf set-up. Loads more planned but aiming for a tourer feel as the wife and i are keen campers. Havent been off road as much as i want but im guessing no1 really has.
Here's some recent pics, hope u like....

I been very happy so far scarecrow. Although today is the first time I been stuck. wheel spin and goin backwards :o . Mate said all 4 wheels were spinnin. Tore up the tread on a rear wheel .....oops had 3 attempts but still couldnt do it. I reckon some better rubber and I will conquer that bit but it is definitely a challenge for any 4by. But this is only supposed to be a fishin and campin bus :) . I have copped all the pajero.........mitsubishi........ soft co.... talk but these as far as I can see are a really good 4wd.
