good share of gen2 pajeros on here. i'm hoping to get myself into one soon! that or a hilux but we'll see what comes up.

i'm looking towards a nl gls diesel model. prob the hardest model to find. i know of one just need to try convince them to sell it to me :P

my family had a 92 2.5L diesel model we took to Cape York a long time ago and went everywhere our friends 80 series went and more comfortable than a 60 series!

i'm hoping the 2.8L is a little more powerful. they seem to be. (mum has a np 3.2L now so they will all feel slow lol)

also does anyone know who makes side brush bars and sliders for nl's or are they all custom made jobbies?

cheers and hopefully i'll get to put my pajero up here soon when i finally get one!
The fun don't begin, until the wheels start to spin!

Can anyone tell me what year the factory body lift started? I'm going to assume all the Gen2 3.5L and 2.8L got it?
And was there a particular model that got the factory rear diff?

NZ now requires body lifts to be certified (at a cost of about $500....) so one with a factory one will be a god send.

Also is there any knowledge on the 'Fieldmaster' model? Was this anything special? It looks to be pretty much the same spec as the exceed minus the sunroof and front seat arm rests....?

Cheers

off top of my head i beleive the body lifts came in around 96 on the NJ model's but could be wrong and yes all 3.5L V6's and 2.8L TD's have the body lift to clear the larger gearbox

Lol... THAT is loaded?! Should see my Paj when it's "loaded"...

That looks comically empty to me.

Should be a blast though mate... Have fun!

Hi Guy's & Gal's. This is our NH paj. We are looking at going to the rock some time in the next 2-3 years. We brought it for a steal :woohoo: and have only had a new radiator, air con motor and suspension fixed( no upgrades for suspension)not sure if there was any work done prior as the bloke never knew. Hope fully we can turn this into a true budget tourer.Looking at a roof top tent winch & bar (hand winch will have to do for now) side steps snorkle and a long range tank.
If anyone has any suggestions feel free to help out.
Cheers. John.

Today I picked up a 1991 Turbo Diesel Pajero locally with bull bar, driving lights, 32 inch BF all terrains, side steps, tinting and only 320,000km. It is in pretty good condition, its no rocket, but I am quite happy, especially for $3K with 6 months rego. Probably the main down side is it needs air con regassed. It's in pretty good condition, straight and exactly what I needed.

I plan on setting up the back with some drawers and a removable bed, as I travel a lot to and from work, so I can sleep between shifts and save many KM and $$$.

Also want to put on some roof racks and a winch, which I will research.

Overall just mega happy to be back in the 4WD game :-)
