Ended up getting 265/75 16s Mickey Thompson ATZ 4 ribs. Have also fitted heap of LED's to the camper trailer. And replaced rear CV drive shaft. It had been making a clunking noise fr arund a year now. Ended up getting a replacement from wreckers for $175 compared to $1,090 Mitsu wanted for the part only. Noise gone.

Have just left Hill end where we had a fantastic time. Tackled the Bridle track. Fairly tame but fantastic scenery and kids had a great time looking for gold in the quartz rocks by the river.

These pics are from our trip across the Simpson in early September 2012.
One pic from the top of Big Red after climbing the northern most (hardest) track to the top with 8psi in the front tyres and 9psi in the rears! It was a hard slog the first time as the Paj had to clear out all the soft sand from the tracks, that the wind had blown in there. But it still made it first go. Second time round it was much much easier....
The other pic was taken on the eastern end of the french line.
Cheers, Dan.

Good stuff guys. Great to see some new pics. Come on all you other Gen 3 owners, post some pics and lets get this thread going again.

Gus, that stump doesnt look quite so big in the first pic, and then ya see the next pic and it dwarfs your Paj !

Dan, absolutely awesome pics. Is that water at the bottom of that dune ? I love the look of those wide open spaces. I havent been to the desert or outback areas yet and dreaming of getting out there.

Thanks Snapcatcher. Always great pics from guys like you and Gus too!
The pic with the water is actually showing the Paj on top of Big Red and the remaining floodwater that seperates Big Red and Birdsville. We had to take a detour to the south (roughly 10km from memory) to get past that flood water and onto the dirt road to Birdsville.
The desert was excellent. Had a ball, the Paj performed flawlessly and would do it again tomorrow if we could!
When you get a chance to get out there, you will love it too.....
Cheers, Dan.

well heres my 2000 NM pajero GLS, its a V6 manual, its pretty much stock atm with only a ECB bull bar, snorkel , cheap arse driving lights, uniden uhf and maxxis bravo all terrains,

but on the wish list are better driving lights, winch and a 2in lift

Nice one Craig. Keep the pics coming.

A 2" lift kit will make a heap of difference off-road, but will also greatly improve the handling on the black-top as your original suspension is most likely shagged by now.

Have posted these pics elsewhere on the forum, but thought I'd post them here too to get the thread moving a bit. (and so I can show off my trip to Fraser over New Years)

well i decided to have a play up at Toolangi state forest today, just cruising around checking out random tracks, went down one called Pylon Tk which follows the high tension power lines, easy fire trail type track, anyway come to a locked gate, turn around and decided to take a more direct track back up, well i ended up lifting a front and a rear losing momentum and slid back into the embankment ....
