I paid about $265 for a new mufler, Y-piece and RHS pipe which was $130 on it's own as the old one was rusted badly and needed replacing. a @ 1/2 was about $30 more than the 2 1/4 that I have on.

all good mate.
thats not too bad. im tryin to go the cheap (but not dodgy) way out of gettin a beta note from the old girl. the big cenre muffler in it now has a nice rust hole in it which really doesnt help.
where'd you get your locker and axles from???

hey mate, i spaced up the bottom shock mounts by about 2-3"
the shock pretty much has last say on how much drop you'll have. (theres plenty others that hold it back, but the shock is the main player.)
by pushin it up, it allows it to go down further.
but!
it limits your up travel. kinda like winding up the torsion bars on an IFS rig.
so if your gona do that, make sure you extend your bump stops so that the up travel is being stopped by the bump stop, not the shock. or you'll end up busting the shock. i was lucky, i just bent the pin of the shock.:D
next issue you might have is the coil leaving the housing at the top.(asuming yours are not retained at the top)
at first i just welded some 12mm bar on the side of the housing, but it would never seat properly and was really, really noisy when it did, and i ended up snapping one side off. im currently in the proccess of making up some proper dislocation cones. but i couldnt do that until i did the body lift coz there wasnt enough room between the body and coil housing.
the not so cheap way out is to buy longer shocks and coils.:thumb:

Locker, well from ARB at about $1200 plus fitting. Axles ate Hi-tuff and can be bought from then direct (Ph 0755304123) about $800 plus postage is a rough estimate. totla cost for the rear locker was about $2600 fited.

Front I got as a trade for some Rangie bits of similar value (about $600) and still have std fronts and have yet to break them (although only done 2 trips with the front locker in). Still for around $3300 inc. all the extras such as the HD line kit for the front locker (HD line kit was included in the cost of the rear one) I am locked both ends.

I thought that I reconised yours from somewhere when I last saw it at Travs place way back last year or so. You are only round the corner from me and I spy the Rangie everyday. Very nice rig.

31's and you wont have any dramas with scrubbing at all.
my old man had 31's on his rangie before he lifted it and he didnt have a drama.
cant see discos bein any different at all.

245 is the width of the tyre, it has nothing to do with the height......

eg:- 245 x 75 x 16

the width is 245 mm
the sidewall height is 75% of the width.. = 183.75mm x2 = 367.5

+ 16 " for the rim...

so 773.9mm... or 30.46"
