D3 - Is it tough enough?

Unread post by Scotty1980 » July 28th, 2011, 8:35 am

G'day,

I am looking at upgrading from a Nissan Patrol with the good old handgrenade 3.0L to a late model Discovery 3. I have read various articals that say as a stock item they are brilliant, however will they stand up to the Cape york run or the Simpson desert run? Does anybody have any first hand experience taking these vehicles off road?

Any advise would be greatly appriciated.

There are heaps of them getting used outback now.

Here's a recent report of one on its own to the cape and back. You may need to join.

Yes!
