Dash Light On. Help.

Unread post by Mike Amen » April 3rd, 2010, 4:25 pm

Hi All
I'm hoping one of you Disco Experts can help me.
It's a TD5 with airbag suspension.

I replaced the radio in my Dads Disco II this morning and now there is a light on the dash. It's a picture of the car with an up and down arrow. The book says it's for the auto leveling suspension.
I've checked all the fuses encase I shorted something while I was feeding the wires around, but they are all ok.

I've driven the car, and the suspension feels ok, so I'm guessing it's just something to do with the electrics?

Any clues as to what it could be?

Thanks
Mike

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a couple of hours?

No I haven't Pog.
Does that re-set the computer?

Usually does in most vehicles. Unsure about the TD5 though...

disconecting the battery wil not delete any codes on the disco ii, what you really need is it to be scanned with a computer, i use auto lodgic. what has most likely occoured is probably a co-incedence, most commen causes.

-hieght sensor failing
-software issue

The button to lift and lower the suspension is just to the right of the Stero, you could have affected the contacts when replacing the stero and surround wiring harness. This is just a guess.
