Disco transfer case problem, no drive to rear under load??
hi just want some info my 96 disco got no drive to rear under load front still drives what could it be

have you pushed the 4wd lever across to lock the centre diff.
my lux is only good for driving through puddles and i dont know anything.........

put it in center diff lock it has drive to the rear it only has no drive to the rear when stick is to the right

when the sticks to the right its in all wheel drive. Drive will go to the wheel with least resistance, usually the front. What you can do is leave the stick to the right jack up one rear wheel and see if it gets drive.
my lux is only good for driving through puddles and i dont know anything.........

if i pyt it on grassy hill with out the center lock on the front diff is workin fine none of the rear wheels turn at all

As Eraser has said they have a lockable centre diff lock, so while all 4 wheels can drive with it open, if one spins the car will stop..
they run this setup instead of needing to use free wheeling hubs, or have to use 2wd on the road.
If you lock the centre diff the power will be distributed evenly to front and rear. With it unlocked it will just send power to the one with the least grip
