What other springs fit the Vitara?

Unread post by sack89 » September 22nd, 2009, 7:43 pm

In the stages of planning a lift for my Vitara, and thinking weather to go springs spacers, or replacement springs.

I know 180SX springs will lift the rear about 2-3", and am trying to get a set, but haven't found anything yet.

Does anyone know of anything else that will suit the Vitara, and what sort of lift it will give.

Cheers

180SX springs should be dime a dozen as most people replace them with coilovers. Try nissansilvia.com or boostcruising.

Or go to KMAC In sydney to get them custom made. It would cost the same as you would pay for raised or lowered springs for any other car.

grand vitara springs are 1.5" longer than standard vit springs. theres a lot of people who use these on there vits, over here in the uk, and they usualy combine this with a 1.5" spring spacer, to achieve a 3" suspension lift.

they do however, also use spacers on the front shocks, and longer rear shocks.

GV stuff will give you lift but are much firmer than stock - will rattle your teeth before long.

Nissan c33 laurel springs for the rear give 50mm lift. Pretty sure it is from the rear if the Nissan...
VK VL commodore wagon rear springs lift the front by 50mm. May need some persuasion to seat properly, but once in place they are fine.
