How can I fix the Noisy Brakes on my Kj Cherokee?

Unread post by Ossat » December 1st, 2013, 12:24 am

Hi all,

I've got a 2005 Kj Cherokee, which I bought 1 year ago. It has always had a squeaky noise when braking. When the pads went low I replaced them. The front ones were worn unevenly as if they were on angle (stuck piston, slide pins?). The worst began when I fitted new pads, it started to make yet more noise, this time not only when braking but also when not braking. After one week, I got the front rotors machined (they were all glazed). At first it seemed to have worked but the noise came back just as bad.

I've heard that noisy brakes are common on Jeeps. I wouldn't mind some noise every now and then, but mine is just too much. Anybody has had this problem? how could I fix it? Thanks for your help. Regards
