Drawer Systems for Navara D40, price/recommendations/ideas??

Unread post by navara99 » October 29th, 2013, 1:37 pm

hey everyone,

im in the market to get some drawers for my Navara D40 and i was wondering what people have had experience with, price of drawers and the quality. Ive been looking mainly at ORS drawers and ARB but open to ideas.

Cheers

I just bought the Black Widow Travelmate drawers. They are $500 cheaper than their premium drawers, slightly thinner steel and powder coated fronts instead of carpet. Ours are in our dual cab ute as well, super solid, well built, expensive yes ($1850), but worth it. The ARB ones didn't go right to the front of the tray for our BT50. ORS would be another excellent choice.

I've ordered Black Widow premium trade height with an easyslide drop down fridge slider. Expensive but quality. Draws have a lifetime guarantee and wing kits are available just I case you want to hang onto them and fit to a new vehicle at a later date.

Save yourself $270. If you can change a tyre you can install these drawers... :)

Yep, but for $270, all responsibility falls on them particularly come Warranty. I have no doubts I could do it myself. If i can completely rebuild suspension, rip a full driveline out, I am sure I can manage....... But for 270, could not be bothered.

god forbid you guys build yourselves a set of draws!

$3768 for a set of 4wd draws! are you serious! Im restoring a 4x4 for $6K

I think mine cost me $50 in wood, $80 in sliders, $50 in fixings and then around $100 in carpet. If you want more features then buy the extra fixings, they will still cost less the 1/10th the cost of buying it, and all the bits, and plans are readily available.
