Unread post by 62patrol » October 3rd, 2010, 11:32 pm

hey guys i have a sprung over mq running 39 inch swampers with a front auto locker and it chews the cvs up with much pedal effort (has a 6.2 v8 diesel as well) would it be a major task chuckin a gq diff in? only reason i ask is because i cant find ne body who will do stronger cvs

gq cv's are not strong standard, and the gq diff where the ball is welded too end of the tubes is extremely thin diameter, ive seen a lot of them that get punnished bend there

From memory GQ are wider than MQ too, The GU CV's are stronger but they're wider again

If the Knuckles are the same size and a GQ CV fits in it, you could maybe get some GQ inner axles cut down and resplined to suit the MQ center & Housing ?

yeah me and 6.2patrol were chatiing bout it the other day and then my mind opened up the idea of maybe gq diffs front and rear with 4 link front and rear.
does anyone think this would be a waste of time or go for it as i may have just found him some gq diffs

i could be wrong but i think GQ CV's will fit on the MQ axles if you change the FW Hubs to GQ as well
