Hi all
New here and wanted to say g'day and thanks for all the info thats helped me make my decision..
Traded in the Monaro for a 2003 Prado Grande 4.0 petrol with 100k on it yesterday and looking forward to getting back into the 4WD's.
Did a lot of 4WD'ing in the 90's in my tough old MQ and dying to get back into it.
Prado certainly seems the business :)
So heres my stock new baby and Im looking forward to making a few mods pretty soon.
A set of 265-70-17 mudders
ARB Bar
Want to do a 50mm lift but not sure how thats going to work with all the electronics but maybe just new springs and strut spacers might be the go, advice here would be appreciated :D

Cant wait to start playing :)

Well I had a interesting weekend. I went to tamborine with the family on easter sunday and headed up there driveway which has a steep drop off on one side. Long story short, my prado was half off the track and needed a 12000lbs winch, which struggled. End damage was 1 cv and the rear flares (again). So now I'm going to deflare my prado, cause I've had enough of the stupid plastic flares, I've already got the bits black bumper and mud guards, so now I just have a rhino lining to cover the holes,

Should be something different..

Andy

Well here's my rig
1996 90 series RV
Only had it since last November bought it of a guy who had it since new and had only ever taken it to Stockton beach once about 10 years ago.

So far mods have been
265/75 16 Maxis Bravo 751
Night Stalker spotties
Uniden UHF Radio
Powerful 4x4 rack
2.5mx2m Powerful 4x4 pullout awning
Just picked up a safari snorkel on Friday so will be fitting that in the next week or so.
Still to come
2" lift , breathers and dual battery , with the help of my brother in law we're also building a winch cradle so I can keep the alloy bar and a set of rock sliders love to get lockers fitted as well but there just on the wish list at present

Thanks Reedy I was taking a look at yours on lcool forum, very nice I'll be stealing quite a few of your ideas mate.
Just bought an 8 litre waeco for the console after seeing how well it fits in yours.

I noticed you have removed your sway bar, how much does that affect on road handling? I use my truck as my daily driver but I would like the extra flex while off road so I'd be interested to know how you find it

Cheers
Rob

Thanks Mate!! I get away with no sway bar as I have the polyairs and the ToughDog adjustable. I run about 10psi in the bags all the time and set the ToughDogs up high (7or8) so it reduces body roll as the ToughDogs work on the rebound stroke!! Wouldn't know how it would go on a normal setup???
