120 series - what fits in the rear? Suggested touring mods? Ideas?

Unread post by solidute » August 25th, 2018, 12:25 pm

Hi all.

Looking at replacing the family car with a D4D 120 or 150 but leaning towards the 120 due to purchase cost.

I mostly want to know about the rear cargo space. What size fridge and slide can fit in the rear? I have an 80 series landcruiser that we currently use for touring and our 80 litre waeco just fits nicely im just concerned that it wont fit in the rear of a prado.

Also what other common touring mods do you suggest? Im thinking airbags for the rear, overhead console, additional usb/cig sockets in the rear for the kids gadgets.

Any other ideas welcomed

Run a tape measure over the 80 series and the 120 prado... width, length, height are virtually identical
