Transmission Fault, No Movement.

Unread post by Radar1977 » January 23rd, 2019, 4:05 pm

Hi Guys, Have puzzling problem. I have a 92 2.8TD auto surf, and gearbox is not selecting any gears. Now that being said, if I remove the ECD fuse for approx 10 seconds and replace, I can get movement, not for very long, but hey it's something. Anyway if anyone has had this problem please let me know, the fix or a process on what to test next.

Cheers

Thanks for the no reply's. After much searching I found out the filter in the gearbox was completely blocked. Hense no movement. As for the ECD fuse part, I am assuming that the time shutting down the car to re-starting gave enough time for the blockage to settle.
