Diff ratio question

Unread post by LUX4WD » April 24th, 2012, 11:52 am

Hi guys, im running 33's at the moment but looking at 35's so obviously looking at going from 4.3's to 4.8's. Im a little bit confused thou as im running a rear arb locker at the moment. Does this mean for me to change to 4.8's will i need to change my locker? Probably a stupid question but have no real idea about diffs.

Any help would be great :)
Cheers

You'll just have to take the locker out of your current diff and put in the new one, really just an uninstall and a reinstall.

Thanks for that, sounds straight forward! Is there much to fitting a locker? Big job or straight forward?

Would it not be a case of simply changing the crown and pinion gears? Leave the locker and carrier as it is.
