My TD 100 series has turned into a slug & I need help! Any ideas?

I've searched and googled but the parameters are too broad to get an answer.
This is what I've got. It's TD 100 with 305,000km on the TD with a 5speed auto. There is no miss-firing at any speed or rev range; it revs freely in park. At or up to 20mm of throttle, it goes at its best for where the throttle is, but pushing the pedal at slow speeds any further gets the slowest acceleration if any, except for when it's running down a hill, then it accelerates better. Mid to highway speeds, mashing the accelerator to the floor gets a boost increase (it's set at 12.5 psi max) but that gives little speed increase. The auto is dropping back into 3rd if it's pushed hard and fast, but when going back up thru the gears it can be a bit clunky. It feels like a there is a big heap of drag hanging off the rear. The injectors where done last year, the injector pump hasn't been done yet. I've changed the fuel and air filters, but it's an overnight thing; I drove it one day & then the next day it was not so good! I did try 2 stroke oil in the Reserve tank but it made no difference & it's not smoking any excess soot. There are No engine warning lights either....
Any ideas?

Bernie

Sounds to me a lot like you need to get a full-on Auto Trans & Torque Converter service!! It doesn't really sound like there's much wrong with the engine, but pretty much everything you've mentioned could be attributable to lack of servicing in the auto box!! :purplex:

When did the auto trans last get serviced? The trans fluid changed? Filters cleaned, belts tightened, etc, etc, etc?? :o

Serviced 18 months ago and only 8200 km, so no Pete, but it's booked at the auto shop tomorrow morning. :p

Was that a normal scheduled vehicle service?? If so, did they actually service the auto trans as part of that? Was it at a specialist auto trans service centre??

I ask, because a normal 'service' that doesn't specify servicing the auto trans will rarely do much more than change the fluid!! It sounds like you need a full on 'drop the pan, drain the oil, replace/clean any filters, clean check & retighten/recalibrate everything in there that needs it inc valve bodies bands etc, ensure the torque converter is drained checked & refilled, & a bunch of other stuff' - but it's all stuff that is very rarely EVER touched by a normal 'car or 4WD service' that changes the engine oil & filters & checks the vehicle brakes etc, altho like I said, that sort of service might change the trans oil in the pan (but even more rarely will they ever drain or look at the torque converter!!) Which is generally sorta OK, cos auto trans boxes & converters are generally extremely robust, but still, they do need attention occasionally! ;)

The auto trans is usually only ever looked at when an auto starts to misbehave or you get a full on auto trans service done by an auto trans specialist! :purplex: I doubt very much that a general mechanic, workshop, or even a dealer service centre would've done a full on auto trans service unless specially arranged & paid for (& usually outsorced to a specialist auto trans mechanic or shop!) - but I guess miracles do happen occasionally! :o

No, Peter a full service at a proper automatic specialist workshop, same shop that does my wife car and my daughters cars.
They put a valve body kit in at the same time and had it drain overnight.

Results, blocked muffers was the response from the transmission specialist, took it home and unbolted at the flange before they split into a twin pipe and 2 muffers ( yes it's a one off custom exhaust ) and took it for a spin, went like a rocket. Happy days.
