My LN 106 front suspension was too rigid!

hello all
I own an ln106 hilux with leaf springs. I've wondered for a long time why the front end is so rigid. First thing, I fitted new front springs, the old springs were a bit sagged, but it was still rigid. I told myself the springs are not moving when hitting a bump, so I changed from 5 leaf spring packs to 4 leaf spring packs - no difference. I spoke to dobinsons, they said it's my shocks, so I removed the shocks. What a difference, but I don't recommend doing that unless you know what you are doing. So off to the wreckers to find shocks that where not as rigid as the shocks that were on the car. I found a pair off a holden commodore, a little longer, so a slight mod and it's all ok now - it is a different truck to ride in. If any one is doing hard 4wding I would not recomend this mod, but as I am an old guy I am a bit slower. PS I would like to find shocks the same length as the H/Duty shocks I removed but light duty.
