How to store Fuel safely?

Hey guys I've currently own a navara d40 and its petrol I was wondering how people would store petrol safely without have a rear carrier on thanks for any advice

How much do you want to haul and what is your budget?
Long range tanks are an expensive option.
These are rated for diesel, so it is down to you to accept the risk of putting petrol in it. They are a nice, neat and low profile solution to fit 50L in the back.

Personally, I don't think you can go past the black plastic Rheem jerry can and just strap it into the tub up the front.
I had steel, but they knock your other gear around, rust, can leak around the cap, split seams and don't like being spat off the trailer on rocks.
The Rheem ones last forever, although they do blow up a bit in the sun. If you are going well off the track you can also squeeze around 23L into them.
Keep an eye on Gumtree and they come up really cheap occasionally.
