Brad,

That was a Chev boot badge. It has now been replaced by a large gold Chev Bowtie. The only other markings are on the side of the guards.

Hi guys, was going to introduce myself before posting like this but something came up and i need to engage some expert opinions.

A 88 HJ61 has become available in my area, it has 270,000 on the clock, has some minor issues which don't detract from the 7k pricetag in my opinion.

However, the auto-trans vibrates in 5th gear when extra power is added, climbing hills overtaking etc, cruising seems to be ok.

Do any of you guys have any knowledge or experience with this 'phenomenon'. Autos scare the s@!t outa me when they play up as i have forked out plenty on them (for the missus) in the past.

Thanks in advance for any help, if i could get the missus to drive my fj45 4speed i wouldnt have these issues in the first place :urgh:

Hi Sanel, I suspect your auto gearbox may be toast. Have you checked the fluid? Is the level right? It is bright and clear, or is it dark and have a burnt smell? When is the last time the auto gearbox was serviced?

For $30k, someone who's got lots of cash and wants a near new 60 more than anything else. That's comparable to what you'd pay for a near new 100 series with coils all around. It looks scmick, but definitely exxy, does it have the factory turbo motor? If so you'd be more likely to get interest.
