Are they the imports? Can these still be imported? As that might be easier for me as I import parts from Japan :D

A mate just picked up a 60 Series 12H-T Sahara. He got it for an absolute bargain!
The car had been sitting for a couple of years because the alternator died and some other minor issues.
We put some fresh diesel in it and borrowed a battery to get it going.
I actually spent more time brushing the spider webs of it.
We checked the tyres, lights and indicators and stuck the day permit on it and drove it from the riverland to Adelaide.
It has 390000 km's on the clock.
Needs a bit of work and some minor repairs but a new project begins!
What can I say, other than go the 60's! :thumb:

best diesel engine released in Australia in a 4wd wagon

ultra reliable, great power and torque figures

it was designed and built as a turbo motor, not a turbo thrown on... also was direct injection which was years ahead of competition

if i fell over one id be putting it in mine quick smart

I have owned pretty much every model of cruiser around up to the 8o series.
And for some reason I seem to gravitate back into a 60.....WHY ?????
Because they are the best ever built...Thats why

One of the best 4X4's made by Toyota. It looks like a 4X4, is all metal and virtually bullet proof. Just watch for rust in the turret and gutters. Leave a window down a couple of mm or condensation will form under the headlining and cause rust in the rear of the roof. I bought my 2H in new in January 1983 and would not trade it for the world. The last model twin headlight looks the best, but you cannot have everything. Did the ultimate conversion this year, a 6.5L V8 H1 Hummer engine. It is now a bear in sheep’s clothing.
