Hi guys after talking with a few 40 series owners In Australia on Facebook some of them reckon the FJ40's from the 60's in good low km condition are fetching good money..

http://www.shannons.com.au/club/news/ve ... mmer-sale/

Image

1963 TOYOTA FJ40 LANDCRUISER WAGON (SWB)

$22,750..

BUT Diesel's did't start in Australia until the 70's..

B 3.0 85 141 lb·ft (191 N·m) 1974–1979
2B 3.2 93 159 lb·ft (216 N·m) 1979–1981
3B 3.4 98 167 lb·ft (226 N·m) 1979–1984
H 3.6 90 151 lb·ft (205 N·m) 1972–1980
2H 4.0 105 177 lb·ft (240 N·m) 1980–1984

So I'm thinking either a LOW km FJ40 and the last of the 80's FJ cruiser's are worth the most and are the most sought after..Like A 1982-84 BJ40 LX..;)

Most Common here in Australia would definitely have to be FJ45 ute's than the HJ45 ute with the 2H diesel's..Also it's getting hard to find rust free HJ47 Troopy's too!!

What do you guys reckon?:):)
if in doubt more right foot!

1. There is no such thing as a rust free HJ47 troopy, (I thought I had the only one apparently not! - the rust hides in the double panels)

2. HJ45 = H engine, both troopy and ute (5= early long wheel base)
HJ47= 2H engine both troopy and ute (7= updated long wheel base)

3. I still think that there are more HJ45s/47s out there then FJ45s, the utes are definitely the most common but I think fewer of the petrols survived then the diesels. (lots of FJ's on the facebook group because they are cheaper - lots more HJ's working on farms)

4. I would kill for a low km BJ42LX (diskbrakes, 5speed and full updates from the factory)
'98-'06 - FJ-45 Ute fell over one day and didnt survive
'06-now - HJ-47 Troopy, restored and now daily driver.
'13-now - HJ-47 Ute, Farm fresh rust bucket, needs a restoration. viewtopic.php?f=22&t=152811

now - Off Road Box/Camper Trailer. viewtopic.php?f=134&t=153968&p=1792444#p1792444

Dont listen to me, Ive got an opinion on everything!

A '62? really that must be bloody rare!

Does it have the toyota F engine or the chevy engine?

As for the parts I would ask on the facebook groups as they are pretty good at knowing where stocks of parts are.
