The relay (under the dash/near the glove box) has inputs from the ignition, low oil ect. and that wires to the EDIC motor behind the Injector pump. The EDIC motor has an arm which controls the fuel level of the pump (overfuel/normal/no fuel-Stop)

What wires where are you refering to?

Like Roger said, you need to find the EDIC relay which is a little silver box like the glow relay, and they go to there. Most likely they never installed it when they put the 2H in, and they are probably hard to come by now as well.

Simplest thing to do would be to wire up a manual cable to shut off or try and locate an EDIC relay and get a HJ47 or HJ45 wiring diagram. Or HJ60 but probably more complex than the 45 or 47.

Maybe, if you are pretty electrically minded, make a system of electric actuators to move the fuel control lever, or make your own EDIC relay, but remember that it has 3 positions, Off, Run and over injection for starting. The EDIC motor has a ball switch system and more info can be found on the ih8 mud forum

My guess is one would be oil pressure/ other might be ignition the third i wouldn't have the a clue
The my workshop manual wire diagram doesn't have the in it

Its pretty simple, there are four wires which run from the EDIC relay to the EDIC motor. There will be others for oil, ignition etc but they feed into the EDIC relay under the dash, so not likely in that bunch you are showing.

If you have the EDIC relay installed, just run the wires from that to the EDIC motor on the engine block.

Check out the I H8Mud forum.
