hj47 side panels - fabricated your own? Any tips?

Unread post by LUX0814 » February 15th, 2015, 5:30 pm

Hi everyone, I just bought myself a Hj47!! Only problem is it doesn't have side panels. I'm looking at fabricating some but wanted to see if anyone has already fabricated their own and if so how did they do it or if anyone has any tips for me.

Not a Tojo, but using some Tojo bits and it is pretty inspirational.

so I assume you are talking Hj47 troopy?

and are you referring to the panels that the side windows sit in, under the roof?

They are not that rare, you should be able to pick some up for less then $500, and if you dont mind some rust repairs less then $100.
'98-'06 - FJ-45 Ute fell over one day and didnt survive
'06-now - HJ-47 Troopy, restored and now daily driver.
'13-now - HJ-47 Ute, Farm fresh rust bucket, needs a restoration. viewtopic.php?f=22&t=152811

now - Off Road Box/Camper Trailer. viewtopic.php?f=134&t=153968&p=1792444#p1792444

Dont listen to me, Ive got an opinion on everything!
