Im rebuilding my fj45 . pics and questions inside...

Unread post by mudcrabs » August 27th, 2013, 9:18 pm

my 1979 was running rough with burnt out valves etc so i have decided to rebuild it fully. i have sourced a 1984 chassis in better condition than my original so im rebuilding and transferring parts. here is some pics of my progress but my question is ...I know in 1981 the spring pins and spring mounts front and rear changed design so the way i see it i have some options. either transfer my mounts to the new chassis or source some new 81 onward style pins but does that mean i need later model springs as well and will my diff mounts still be workable? anyone ever made a change like this?
