the 12ht is the best diesel motor toyota ever made, they sound like a truck, make good power and torque, good on fuel, simple and really reliable! every time i even hear one makes me want to put on in my 80! plus with a few simple mods it's easy to get even better power and torque out of them, all i know about the conversion is that you will need a 2h engine mounts, as for the gearbox mounts i'm not sure! enjoy! ps 12ht's are hard to find! especially one the hasn't already done 300kms

I bought this rig a couple of months back now its a slow project but it gets me out in the bush and I lice the old shape cruisers so it was to hard to say no. Having the 350 chev fitted makes the power brilliant but waterproofing is a bit of an issue

This one came from a goldmine in WA and I believe it is not factory. However, I also see a few and think it was a fab shop job, I can see where the have used quarter panels off another 40 series under the vehicle. It's a great mod though, love this truck.

This is my 1981 fj45 with a 2f engine in it. Brought it 4 months ago and pulled it to bits and resprayed it. Custom built new tray that a built myself, front bar built myself. Still to come are 32inch maxxis bighorns on 15 by 8 inch rims, 120000lb winch, and power steering. Its not much but im happy with it as its not a bad effort for a 17yr old with not much time. :)

This is my FJ45, I've recently aquired it. It was stored for 12 years and not registered since 2000.
I have no intention of registering it either, it will merely 'get older' in the shed.
She's in great condition. I've decided to put split rims back on her to make her original again and unmolested in any way.
