60 series power steering in to a hj47
Sorry to bug you fellas but iv got on to a wrecked 60 series i was just wondering what parts i need exactly from the power steering set up just because i dont want to buy the lot if i dont need the lot. cheers

the steering box, pump, mounting brkt, all the steering rods, too

steering rods off a 75 fit straight on, 60 ones are to wide.

if its a pre 79 model 40 series get the whole swivel hubs .. brake disks and all that ... leave the steering rods were they are they 2 long 75 series are the go there. and yeah pump box an lines

Oh yea well its an 84 model. So so far il get the steering box, pump, mounting bracket and steering arms/knuckles

what steering arm from the fly wall to steer box what did u do to over come that problem??? thats all i have to sort out on mine 47coxsy wrote:the 60 steering box on my sons fj40

Is there a steering damper on that setup?
1982 HJ47 with: 12HT, 5 speed, LSD in rear, disc brake front end, handbrake on back wheels and power steering :)

Thanks for the photos mate well i just scored a complete 1984 60 series with a 1 yr old clutch and 5 speed so im getting the 5 speed and the steering components out and will hopefully one day soon put them both in the 47 just got to find a couple more bits off a 75 series. oh and will hopefully put the disk brakes on too

shock tower was removed and a brkt made to hold the top of the shock off the top of the steering box
