Mazda BT50 - Any ideas what this Noise in 2nd gear is??

Unread post by zakaroo » April 25th, 2014, 2:43 pm

Howdy,
I recently purchased a new BT50 and now has 1000ks on clock.
I have noticed shortly after the automatic transmission changes into 2nd gear I hear a 'Clunk' sound... Almost sounds like a small stick flicking up and hitting the underside of the vehicle.
It sounds like the noise is coming from the front passenger side.
This only happens the first time after the vehicle has been started... Other take offs and gear changes are fine.
It happens when engine is cold and hot...

Told mazda to check it out at the first service and they advised they couldn't hear anything... (Annoying when trained professionals can't hear it and I can)

Can anyone advise what this could be?? The guy who I spoke to when I booked the service murmured something about the ABS......

THANKS
