It would seem it is not an issue with the 200 series so something relevant to your vehicle rather than something systemic.

The fact is though those mounting points were never going to be capable of holding a bulbar such as this and whether by oversight of ironman in not fixing the bar to the vehicle as per regulation or Toyota for designing a system that is not capable of completing the task that it is designed for.... One of them is at fault

Or operator error.

It is a bit hard to be an operator error, he hasn't touched the bulbar, so if driving a car around fitted with a bulbar that has been attached by a third party (Ironman), not having altered it at all, I would have to question that seriously

Well if it was systemic then others would be having the problem.

I can see four potential contributors:
- Butt mount with a large, forward projected load ala winch cradle = leverage
- Any play or poor fit in mounting allowing more movement and vibration (was it installed correctly by the dealer?)
- Combine the first two with longer duration on corrugations than most people
- Add a few snatch recoveries to start and/or aggravate any cracking

In comparison, the bar on my 105 has a sleeve mount that overlaps 200-300mm of chassis rail.

Bugger. :(
