Clicking sound when starting my hilux - any ideas?

Unread post by Salty frog » March 26th, 2018, 6:45 pm

I’ve Been having this problem where I try to start my ute and it doesn’t turn over just makes one click sound. It only does it sometimes and starts up after turning the Ignition a couple of times. It’s a 22r petrol hilux, battery is fine, any ideas of what it could be?

Clicking noises when trying to start like that generally mean a dud or dyjng battery; poor/dirty battery connections or weak/broken/breaking cable; dud or dying starter solenoid; or a dud or dying starter motor.... :o
