The owner was a Priest who had done only 102,647kms and only drives it to the beach now and then.

While a Suzi Ute might be fun, it is a ute and they are tiny!!

It might be worth your while to hang out longer and look for something that has 4 seats, cos the time will come when you want to take more than just one other person somewhere - and a ute won't cut that mustard!

A Sierra or Vitara if you really want to stick with Suzi's, a Daihatsu Feroza or Rocky (real truck derived 4WD's only small - and in the Rocky's case, with long wheel base & a diesel engine - better ride & range off road! ;) ) or one of the other small/med 4WD's around might be a tad more expensive right now, but if you can hold off a little longer & save up a little more, it will pay off in the long run, cos once you get any vehicle, it will become a whole lot harder to save any $$$ for a replacement! Especially if you get bit by the 4WD bug and start modding the one you have!!

Look for rust but if good buy it. Had a couple of Suzukis when younger myself. Little LJ50 and a couple of 80"s these little things are like a Mecarno set. Not complicated and a great way to learn the basics. The Sierra is similar. Of course you wont want to be doing long trips in it but a great little weekender. The things will climb a tree and go places other more well equiped and larger 4WD's wont go.

A suzuki ute is going to be the car you remember and tell people that you wish you kept because it was fantastic. its also the perfect 4wd for a youngen.

Mods are going to be difficult, but things like a simple lift and bigger tires are definitely possible.

I'd still say go for the Suzuki if it's good. If your 16, there cheaper to register, cheaper to run. Even things like tyres your could probably buy 2 for the Susuk for the cost of one for the Landcusier.

To Buy a Zook Ute
Pros
Bog standard they are fantastic on the beach (as you are 16 this is where you will find the Girls)
with a few Modifications they are an extremely capable vehicle
all zooks are cool but a zook ute is Way Cool :waycool:
they are cheep to run , licence and insure

cons
you will only fit 1 girl at a time in the ute with you
your mates with Patrols and Landcruiser will give you some lip ....... until you drive around them

post up a pic of it if you can get one

cheers Macca
