sierra clutch not engagin, just grinding?

Unread post by zoook » September 8th, 2011, 7:17 pm

hey all, i have a 1985 sj50 suzuki sierra, for about a month just randomly when im driving i will get a big clunk and a jult from what it fells like the gearbox or transfer case im not sure.
then about 2 nights ago i was on my way home it did the clunk/jerk thing and then just grinded to a stop, it will go in gear but as soon a i let the clutch out it just grinds and dont move, so i tried low 4wd and it does the same thing, then high range 4wd worked thats how i got home.
so at the moment only high range 4wd will work, just wanting to now if my trans/case is stuffed or g/box, or has anyone had this happen to them before? can anyone recomend anything?
cheers
