Found this link a while back. Did we ever see these in AU?

Over the years I have seen a couple but they are rare as rocking horse poo.

It actually says that they came to Australia at the top of that link.

The Land Rover 101" and Rubery Owen powered trailer make a six wheel drive combination. More details of this particular vehicle, which is a prototype, can be found at http:// 4wd.sofcom.com/ Mil/ LandRover/ FC101/ prototype.html. It was originally brought to Australia for Army trials in the 1970's, but has long since been fitted with a mini-bus body for outback tours.

The powered trailer never got past the prototype stage. It was a dangerous piece of equipment causing jackknives and was dropped when the towing vehicle was being turned over by the trailer in some circumstances.

The vehicle and trailer in the above pic currently lives in Cairns. I believe that trailer is the only one in Aust and the vehicle and trailer has been used in a number of locations around Aust since it was sold off from its trials role many years ago.
