Where have you taken your X-trail?

Unread post by smac » October 19th, 2009, 10:18 pm

hi,
after having my T31 Xtrail for about 2 years now, i reckon they are a pretty good little bus with loads of interior room and more touring ability than non xtrail owners will ever know...;)

So where have you taken your Xtrail?

i reckon they will go plenty of places, especially with a decent set of tyres on them :thumb:

let me know - put pics up to
just purchased an 2010 SR5 ... waiting...

We have only recently traded our little mighty x-trail in on a Tribeca due to needing extra room, but we took the x-trail to the following:

1. Karumba Point via the Development Road.
2. Cooktown and Laura Homestead via the Bloomfield Track.
3. Camerons Corner.
4. All through the Watagans and Newnes.
5. Innaminka.
6. Stockton.

With a 50mm lift, a good set of BFG All Terrains and careful driving, you can take them 'almost' anywhere.

Good luck with it.

You should jump on the xtrail forum for more great information.

my brother has a stock standard x-trail which we've taken to stockton, didn't have too much trouble.....some of the bigger dunes we needed a second run at, and the 4WD system overheated at one stage, but with the tyres at 15psi, it floated pretty well over the softer stuff...

goes alright elsewhere too...just need to drive like a subie driver lol (use momentum to make up for the lack of wheel travel)....

we have 1st generation xtrail. and have taken it through the blue mountain area, and stockten and drivien it al the way to wa. and have no problems with it. it goes every were you want it to go. if want a car thats can do touring and go on some of the bush tracks the xxy does it with minimum fuss. but if want to go more extreme go with something with low range as any would tell you they do not have the best clearence. but very capable for what they are!!
go the xxy!!!!!
