Fuel consumption for 2011 3.0lt turbo nissan patrol?

Unread post by Olmate » April 21st, 2012, 10:38 pm

Hi guy's I have a question for all you nissan experts out there, and that is wot is the fuel consumption on a 2011 3.0lt turbo diesel you guy's are getting or your mates are getting, under tow on a trip and around town, I would like to get the real consumption on them not the crap they put on the window at the car yard, also how good are they under tow.
I would appreciate any feed back on this and any other feed back you guy's have on the GU 7 ST as I am looking at up grading
from a petrol V6 rodeo which has a very high fuel consumption at any time, and I travel a bit with a camper and my fuel is up around 21lt per hundred under tow.

average fuel usage for a 3lt patrol is about 15l/100 around town, and about 18-20 for towing.

After 80,000 My 08 Gu Crd gets 13.2 l/100km. Don't expect any better than this when new. There seems to be a big variation with these motors and other forums that start with nissan would be worth a look. My observations are tha any weight to the vehicle will impact your numbers greatly. I towed a 900kg Camper Trailer 17,000 km,s including some outback tracks, Oodnadatta Trk, Gibb River Road, and averaged 16.2 l/100km. People towing vans report up around 18 and 20 l/10.

13.2L / 100 is pretty good, evn 16 when towing is pretty good.
