Congrats on the article buddy! It must be pretty cool to be in a mag and to impress the king of old 40's, Roothy himself!

Gotta say.. Well Done!
Its a credit to ya man. most lads your age seem to be interested in pouring buckets of cash into go nowhere but maccas heaps of crap.
You've thought it out and methodically restored and modified a pretty iconic old 4wd that will likely cart you around to just about any corner of this country you choose to visit. It's evident by your thread here you have done it all properly and it shows. Its a quality vehicle now mate. Good on Ya!
I'll be pretty stoked if my 45 Troopy turns out half as good
thanks for the kind words 80butts, haha my bus used to just fit through the maccas drive through haha, yeah she took alot of work to get it to where it is now, and i'm hoping that she will be able to make it round australia one day without an issue. no doubt your troopy will come up well mate just whatever you do take your time and don't take short cuts an you'll end up with an awesome truck, well you already have an awesome truck as you own a 40 haha .

very sweet mate i bet i will, it was around at the tyre joint and they were fitting up a new set of rims for my 75 but until thats done i got them to chuck them on my 40 for looks haha, yeah we will have todo a trip somewhere but not having a licence is a bit hard for me haha.

well with my Nissan gone and my finally parting out my parts 60 I can now get into putting 60 diffs under this plan was to coil it at the same time but that can be another day as it rides well as it. hopefully sometime this week i'll start stripping the housing down so I can cut off the mounts and make some new ones. ill see how I go.

Well for the last 6months nothing really changed on the old girl done a few little bits like out a 60 series housing under the rear and a new drivers seat I also put a turbo on her which made a huge difference aside from that just been using it.
I've just started todo another rebuild on the old girl so a lot should be happening over the next few months so stay tuned I've started doing abit and I know have all the parts todo it I picked up a 60 with a 12ht in it with only 170k on the clock haha so all I got todo is find the time to drop it all in haha
Plans are
New front bar-done
Mount winch-done
Rock sliders
Tube guards
60 series front diff
60 powersteer
New rims and tyres dunno what sort yet
12ht motor with hi flowed turbo and larger pump
Inter cooler
New bonnet
New snorkel
H55f five speed
Factory turbo seats
Extended shackles in the front and a few other little bits and bobs to make it more comfy
Pics to follow when I'm on my computer
Cheers waitesy
