This is from a few weeks ago, first time bogged on Bribie Island. Had been lazy and only let the tyres down to 25psi. After rain a creek usually runs out right there so I think the sand was softer than usual. Let the tyres down to 20 psi and a bit of digging I drove out no worries.

Have also recently fitted a Rhino Pioneer Platform roof rack system.

Changed my wire winch cable to Dyneema rope.

Have also fitted a duel battery system, using a Projecta 150 Amp Isolator. I mounted the battery in the spare space under the floor in the cargo area, where the third row seats normally fold down. I fitted a power outlet on each side of the cargo area, ready to power a Waeco CFX65 which im getting next week.

Try & skip down another line before you attach the pic, you know double enter after the text then attach pic, that'l fix the overlap :)

G'day,
Car is looking great. Couple of questions, i'm looking at purchasing the NP pajero.
When you put the 33's on the car did you encouner any issues with rubbing when the wheels were locked?

Looking at putting some 265/70 (32/10.5) mickey thompson mtz on standard 17" rims if i bought one.
been told that the NP can only be raised 40mm and not the full 2inch.

Cheers

Hi there, the NM and NP are more or less the same vehicle. Some minor differences, but not many.

I dont have any problems with scrubbing. I did remove a bracket which held on front mud flaps, but the NP doesnt have the same one. The tyre size you mentioned (32's) will fit fine. There are people running 33's on NP's as well, however a front bar is recommended for 33's as it gives a bit more clearance from the tyre than the standard bumper.

Im thinking that whoever told you you can only get 40mm lift, only sells 40mm raised springs. You can get 50 mm raised springs, and these cause no problems. Lovells or Kings are the most popular springs for Pajero's, but obviously there are other choices as well.

Mine is the 3.5 Petrol. I haven't had any problems at all with the motor. Very reliable. Common problems are oil leaks from the Rocker Cover and cracked exhaust manifolds.

If looking at Diesels, go for the 3.2 DiD over the 2.8. Diesels sell for about 5 grand more than petrol models, and personally I'm happy driving a petrol.

Also when looking at any second hand Pajero check that the super select 4WD system works properly. When left unused for long periods, parts in this system can seize up.
