Gday kids,

Ive had my cruiser for a couple of years now and for some reason never started a thread. Better late than never.

Its an ex goverenment 2003 standard cruiser. It was origionally owned by Australia Museum in Sydney and came with a bullbar, winch, cargo barrier, rhino racks, the 1HZ had 45980kms, new car warranty and had never seen a dirt road in its life....

Here it was as i saw it at the auctions

It didnt take me long to sort out a few things.

I started with some 16x8 GXL rims with Cooper 285/75 ST's
Lightforce driving lights
I changed every oil and fluid it had
TJM snorkel
Allow side steps
Wired a plug in the boot for the fridge from the second battery
Extended the diff breathers
and made a drop down table for the rear door.

Then we just kind of drove it for a while

Nice bus mate

The ST's turned into STT's when Cooper had a recall

and the alloy side steps didnt last long

We then went up in the world and brought a second hand Trackabout Safari camper trailer to clean up and make our own...

oh yeah and I meet Zordo... and the cruiser went up in the world, 3 inches up. Zordo used Dobinson shocks and Lovells coils, we extended the swaybar mounts, fitted front swaybar disconnects and an Old man emu steering dampener... I cant speek high enough of the service from Zordo and flex and ride of this setup.

Then we just kind of drove it again... and played around with the camper

A beaudesert 2.5 inch mandrel bent exhaust and pacemaker extractors found their way into the engine bay along with a Unifilter











These made the engine rev freely, it didnt feel choked up anymore, and was a lot better to drive.

The camper got a full respray, new axle and electric brakes, a boat loader, LED lights, new cover, landcruiser wheels, a 12 volt system and a whole swag of little bits and pieces














dont worry I took the gas bottles off to do the welding....almost forgot though hahaha

A kaymar rear wheel carrier followed suit...









and we drove it some more

oh and the side steps were replaced with some ARB heavy duty sliders (sill saving goodness)!!!!

Fitted cruise control and an electronic brake controller

Put an ARB air compressor under the passenger seat

slipped in a full length Outback roof console

and fitted central locking kit (grrr took agers to fit and was a PITA)

Slotted rotors and some alloys

Then we came second in round 2 of the Cityview trials in 2007

Then the fun started.... introducing a fire breathing 1HDT

Specs:
1HDT block
1HZ head with different cam grind, heavy duty valve springs, some flow work etc etc
1HZ fuel pump (highly modified, cost me a $$$)
Bigger 1HZ injectors
Garrett GT3271 turbo (twin scroll or split pulse as some may call it)
front mount intercooler
and a swag of other goodies




1HDT is the red one.

SO guys, thats pretty much my baby... Its been a great couple of years with her, and Im looking forward to a couple more!!

Next on the list will be:
Air lockers,
tube front bar,
bigger intercooler (maybe),
Recaro driver seat,
some 35's if they will look ok with just a 3 inch list,
adjustable panhards (dont really need them but Im a perfectionist),
a set of Super flex arms from Superior (drool!!!) and associated suspension mods to suit,
dual cab conversion (that one is honestly a dream but it would be nice).

and drive it some more....
